About Ristac
Okay so who am I and what is this personal blog all about and why is it called RISTAC?
Let me start with the easiest part, the name RISTAC. When you have been enjoying the fruits of the Internet for as long as I have, you soon realise that you need a very good memory or an identity which is easily remembered. Going back to the first online forum or chat room that I ever joined I was asked for a username – I decided on Warlord, looking back at it now I must have seemed a right pillock, some bloke in his late twenties calling himself Warlord?
I went through a year or two using various names and then one day I decided I wanted something unique that meant nothing to anyone else. I quite simply took the first two letters from each of my first, middle and last names and joined them together.
I was stuck in a dead end job regretting tossing off so many wasted school years and not even attending some of my exams, when I was 16 I wanted to get out of school and earn a living as quickly as possible. In my late twenties I decided to do something about it so I attended an evening college studying Computers and Small Business Systems passing my BTEC two years later and then realising that there was no magical job to walk into despite my A grades.
I had enjoyed the course, before starting it I had never even switched a PC on before. I brought my first computer during this time it was 1994 and in 1997 I ventured onto the Internet for the very first time. I had so longed to get onto it and see what it had to offer but with a monthly fee and extortionate dial up access it wasn’t until 1997 that I could afford to.
I had mixed feelings about the Internet the first time I connected, I was online and now what? I did the usual searches for adult related keywords like you did back then, had a play around in an online chat room and searched around a bit. You have to remember the term Social Media hadn’t been invented back then yet alone Twitter and Facebook. Here I was connected to the World Wide Web my brain ticking overtime as to what I could get out of it.
My first monthly phone bill came in; over £100 which I struggled to find, damn this was going to be an expensive hobby unless I found a way to supplement it. I played around on eBay realising that there was a thing called a Beanie Baby phenomenon and after buying a few exclusive UK Beanies and selling them to the USA I had made my first online profit and in 1998 I purchased my first domain name.
Cutting a long story short I have always dabbled on the Internet, writing blogs and creating sites with a view to making money. Now after 14 years I have decided to write a genuine blog. When I say genuine I mean a blog about thoughts that are going through my mind, they might be boring they might be controversial but after years of writing articles both mainstream and adult related now is the time to just write without thinking about it.
